In response to global net-zero emissions, TSMC has joined hands with suppliers and logistics operators to jointly launch a zero-carbon green logistics plan, using European pure electric large trucks. Compared with traditional diesel trucks of the same tonnage, using 26-ton electric trucks will reduce the number of trucks by approximately 25%. The carbon emissions are equivalent to 5.38 tons of CO2e. It achieves low pollution, low energy consumption and no exhaust emissions when driving.
The first low-carbon logistics transportation was officially launched on February
27. TSMC, Chung King Enterprise Co., Ltd (CKPlas), Wafer Works Corp., VEGA International Co., Ltd, PackAge+ and Taiwan Express cooperated to promote electric transportation, not only rental electric truck instead of oil trucks, it integrates the needs of alliance members, calculates the best route schedule, and maximizes the efficiency of each logistics trip. It creates a zero-carbon green logistics ecosystem for Taiwan's technology industry and jointly changes the landscape of new energy vehicles in the market.
